Form & Verdict
Likeable 8yo has been making up for lost time since belated career debut in March, winning five of his 12 starts; second chase win came in a 2m handicap off 133, probably should have won a four-runner Grade 2 over that trip last time when finishing strongly and this trip will be fine; pretty reliable and the one to beat.

Competitively campaigned in the past year, often in small-field conditions race; third in the Kerry National and filled the same position in a Grade 2 at Down Royal; out of his depth in a 2m Grade 3 event at Naas before an excellent display in finishing second in the Troytown Chase.

Form & Verdict
Useful bumper and hurdle performer although was found out in Graded company in both disciplines; went chasing this summer, winning over this kind of trip at Wexford in September and better form back there over further last month when second to a 144-rated horse of Elliott's; jumping still has room for improvement and a slog in winter ground at Navan is not really what he wants.

Appreciated eased in grade at Bangor (3m, good to soft) six weeks ago, winning readily by 10l; contests deeper race here but probably still on workable mark after 5lb rise, and quicker ground also suits.

Exposed ex-Irish gelding who has yet to score for Dan Skelton (0-10); however, he has been contesting stronger races and was going nicely in clear lead when falling six out in major handicap chase at Doncaster (3m, soft; fine on good) in January; his subsequent Ascot run needs forgiving but that was a Class 1 race.

Record of 0-9 for current yard but he ran well over hurdles on this card last year; still going nicely in clear lead when falling six out in major handicap chase at Doncaster (3m, soft) most recently; shortlisted.
