Verdict
Dr Sanderson continues to lurk on a very dangerous mark but be managed only fourth when well supported at Catterick three weeks ago and today’s slower ground is a negative. Preference is for lightly raced 8yo HENRY GRAY, who began his chasing career with two encouraging runs in the autumn and will presumably be ridden very positively again over today’s shorter trip. Local legend Ardera Cross is tricky to predict nowadays but he collected his ninth course win on Tuesday and is effectively 1lb lower today.[Chris Wilson]
