Form & Verdict
Pulled up in sole outing this term (had wind surgery since) but showed some promise last spring; related to a useful sort for her connections and looks open to improvement now handicapping; new trip; interesting.

Had wind surgery in November; sent handicapping over 3m+ for her two starts since but needs to improve on that form; has had just seven races and this is the first one in blinkers.

Lightly raced 6yo who hinted at ability at Chepstow (2m3f, good to soft) last spring and has had excuses for two soft-ground defeats since, the latest on 3m handicap debut at Taunton when back from a break and wind surgery; likely to do better on this more suitable ground.

Two good efforts at about 2m5f in midwinter but she's been pulled up on her latest two starts and can only watch from 6lb wrong.

Form & Verdict
Eight-race maiden; steady progress this term, most recently third at Southwell (2m4f, good to soft); shapes as if this longer distance is worth exploring; possibilities with Harry Cobden up for first time.

Verdict

With the new trip a likely plus and Harry Cobden on board, bottom-weight TUSCAN ROSE could well take another step forward and get off the mark. Interesting handicap debutante Mollie Brown is second choice. Santa Clarita is more exposed than her two rivals but she’s respected on form.[Steve Boow]
