Form & Verdict
Made all on heavy at Ffos Las in February off this very mark but she's been posting vastly inferior figures in her subsequent races; now has to turn a corner.

Has done her winning at about 2m, latest at Ffos Las in February; soundly beaten on last four starts, with moves back up to about 2m4f/3m for last three; her one piece of 3m form was back in January 2022 but she is back 4lb lower than her last winning mark.

0-8 but consistent and she and the winner drew clear when runner-up in a Hereford handicap last month (2m, soft); has a bit to prove on heavy (twice below par previously) but brings solid form claims.

Gained all six hurdle wins at around 2m but ran quite well when fourth at Chepstow (2m3f, soft) last month; current mark is workable (even from 1lb out of the weights) and Sean Bowen takes over today; could have a say.

Campaigned mostly at about 2m; record is 6-21, the most recent win at Ludlow in December; placed twice since, including at Newbury when ahead of Rula Bula; gives the impression this return to further is worth exploring.

Form & Verdict
Has won on heavy; likeably consistent in handicaps and good to soft ground would have been dry enough when third at Ffos Las 16 days ago; perhaps on a high enough mark now but looks a good bet to give her running.

Won two soft-ground chases (both 2m3f) in early 2025 and has posted some good efforts in defeat this season; looked laboured and was below form here (2m, soft) last month but can be dangerous off current mark if back on song in first-time cheekpieces.

Won three times last season on soft/heavy ground; runner-up on first three starts this term then fifth at Exeter (2m1f, good to soft) 17 days ago when three places behind Royal Mer; today's forecast slow ground could aid her cause.

Form & Verdict
Three top-three finishes in her nine runs, latterly in a 2m1f handicap at Fontwell; all those places were gained on ground no softer than good to soft and she was tailed off on soft here two runs back; those concerns make her opposable.

Battled on from unlikely position to score by 8l here (2m5f, good) on chasing debut in May, an eventful race in which the clear leader fell two out, but it's wise to treat that piece of form with a degree of caution; only fourth of six at Fontwell (2m3f, good) last time; tries a new trip today.

The hood returns after finishing tailed off behind Passing Kate at Wincanton in February; beaten only 3l in a handicap the time before (1m7f, soft) but deeper ground here is a concern when sole success came on good to firm.

Verdict

With no ground concerns and a likeably consistent profile, PASSING KATE appeals as the one most likely to give her running. Tour Ovalie has a bit to prove on ground quite this demanding but she goes on soft and looks the danger. My Mate Polly could have an improved effort in her.[Alistair Jones]
