Verdict
There is probably a race of this standard to be won with SPY who has given the impression that this trip will help to bring out the best in him. Winner and second respectively in this race last year, Dark Note and Expound do battle again. Denis Hogan’s runner belatedly opened his account last time and may prove best of the pair. Recent Ballinrobe winner Desert Friend could not be ruled out. [Alan Sweetman]
