Form & Verdict
2021 Triumph Hurdle winner came back from 20 months on the sidelines to win two of his first three starts over fences; unable to cut in in Grade 1 company at Cheltenham and Aintree in the spring; this sort of race might just suit him a bit better and could go well

Landed the Triumph at this meeting in 2021 and was in the process of producing a career-best performance, albeit seeming likely to come off second best in the argument, when final-fence faller in this contest 12 months ago (good to soft); absent since but has a good reappearance record, allied with his proven ability to act very well at the Cheltenham Festival; another big run may be on the cards.

Landed the Triumph Hurdle here in 2021; still seeking a first Grade 1 success over fences and form dipped in the Dublin Chase most recently, failing by a long way to confirm Naas November placings with Marine Nationale; ran well but was no match for Jonbon in the Tingle Creek in between; not the percentage call.

Former Triumph Hurdle winner made a bright start to his 2024-25 campaign with decisive front-running success over Marine Nationale in Grade 3 at Naas in November; similar tactics employed when second to ready winner Jonbon in Tingle Creek at Sandown following month and Rachael Blackmore prefers him to the more highly-rated Captain Guinness.

Form & Verdict
Outstanding novice hurdler and began his chasing career in the same manner at Leopardstown last December; unable to overcome his first hiccup in the Irish Arkle at Leopardstown and not seen since; bids to restore faith here and could hardly be better treated by the race conditions; the one to beat.

The 2025 Champion Chaser arrives here a fresher horse than most after missing Cheltenham with a sore neck; returned to action at Leopardstown in December with a pleasing effort behind Solness after making an early mistake; no match for Majborough at the DRF on testing ground but he's a much better horse on a sounder surface; won this in fine style last year and could repeat the dose.

Top-class novice hurdler had an interrupted novice chase season but came good last term, finishing runner-up to Solness in this race before winning the Champion Chase at Cheltenham; he then followed up at Punchestown in style; did well to recover from an error on comeback over C&D last time, just losing out to Solness again; this testing ground is a question, but is the one to beat if handling it.

Form & Verdict
Winner of his five of his first six starts over fences last year; performed with credit in Grade 1 company at Aintree and Punchestown in the spring; probably suited by this sort of small field conditions chase but faces a tough enough task giving 9lb to the probable favourite.

Yet to make an impact in three starts for this yard this year, but he showed some smart form in Ireland for Willie Mullins, notably landing a 2m4f Grade 3 at around this time last season; looks attractively treated on that evidence; one to watch in the market, though a return to form is needed.

Won Grade 3 at Killarney (2m4f, yielding) last May for Willie Mullins and he's on a handy mark on that form; however, below par in the winter on final two starts for that yard and soundly beaten in handicaps on both outings for this stable; usual hood is left off; needs to get back on track.

Useful on his day for Willie Mullins but form has dipped this winter, most recently last of four finishers at Doncaster where he was the rank outsider on debut for new yard; best watched unless the market signals go the other way.

Form & Verdict
Competitively campaigned in the past year and maybe a fraction unlucky not to have won one or two more; third in the Kerry National and filled the same position in a Grade 2 at Down Royal last week; the drop back in trip is probably not a worry but would undoubtedly prefer it softer.

Competitively campaigned in the past year, often in small-field conditions race; third in the Kerry National and filled the same position in a Grade 2 at Down Royal; out of his depth in a 2m Grade 3 event at Naas before an excellent display in finishing second in the Troytown Chase.

Form & Verdict
Won a pair of handicap hurdles in the spring off 89 and 98; good second in a mares chase at Sligo last month but looks out of her depth here despite the allowances.

Handicap wins over this trip came at Leopardstown and Tramore over a year ago; looked in handicapper's grasp over the winter and returns from a short break for new yard here.
