12yo who doesn't appear to be as good as he was and hasn't really threatened this season, but he's been a fair third on two of his last three starts and continues to edge down the weights; might not be far away.

Now 12 but showed when third of six at Lingfield (2m4f, soft) in December that he retains plenty of spark; effective on good to soft ground earlier in career; mid-race unseat at Wetherby last time; possible player.

Long in the tooth now but was not that far off his career-best form when third of six at Lingfield (2m4f, soft) in December, after a layoff; 2lb lower here and has a fighting chance if aided by combination of refitted tongue-tie and first-time cheekpieces.

Form & Verdict
Three wins last winter (2m, heavy/soft) and he reappeared with a fair third at Haydock (2m, soft) in November; however, he's struggled the last twice and needs to get back on track; best form has come on soft/heavy going.

Form & Verdict
He could do with jumping better than when a below-par fourth of seven at Sandown last time; however, this lightly raced 7yo has had wind surgery since and had previously run pretty well in defeat on his first two chase starts (2m, good to soft); can have a big say if he's back on song.

Often gives his running in strong handicaps (second in this event 12 months ago) but losing sequence is up to 11 and he looked held when falling two out in the Plumpton race won by Indemnity last time; cheekpieces left off today; opposable off unchanged mark.

Had strong handicap form even before finishing second to Alexei in the Greatwood and fifth in an Ascot handicap that could barely have worked out any better, with the four ahead of him all delivering high-profile efforts in the meantime (well in with fourth-placed Mondo Man); failed favourite backers in a lower grade at Newbury but this strong traveller might have won had he not been left in front two out (then idled); every chance should this pan out more favourably; all ground seems fine.

Had some very strong handicap form even before his last two runs when second to Alexei in the Greatwood and fifth in an Ascot handicap that could barely have worked out any better, with the four ahead of him all delivering high-profile efforts in the meantime; must have every chance in this lower grade; drying ground won't bother him.

Inconsistent and seems best on testing ground, which he may not get today; however, he won in good style from the front at Wetherby (2m3f, soft) four weeks ago and will be tough to catch if repeating that form.

Maiden hurdler who has come late to fences but he's shaped well on both his runs in this sphere; had a wind op before an unfortunate last of six in 2m1f Kelso handicap last month, stumbling after last when in with every chance; merits serious consideration off a 2lb lower mark.
