A heavy defeat over hurdles five weeks ago was his only race since October; however, he won three of his four starts once equipped with this headgear on Flat last July-October; the furthest of those wins was 1m5f and he was well beaten trying 1m6f, but it may be rash to dismiss him as a stayer, given he's brother to Magellan Strait who won the 2023 Irish Cesarewitch (2m1f) and half-brother to Lagostovegas who won this race in 2018. |

79-rated gelding won twice in June at Cork and Leopardstown, both over 1m on nice ground; midfield on soft to heavy at the Curragh latest (1m) and has hinted that this sort of trip might suit, though he's not bred for it. |

Has enjoyed a fine campaign; back to back wins in June saw him go up 13lb but he has continued to acquit himself well; another sound run in a Killarney rated race latest (1m, good); probably doesn't want it too soft. |

Both wins on goodish ground but versatile as regards conditions as it was yielding to soft when second in a 1m handicap at Galway where three of today's rivals were behind; came from well off the pace that day so it was some effort. |
