Sole win was at Redcar in June 2023 (7f, good); beaten a nose in same Redcar handicap this year and went down by a short head in a C&D fillies' handicap last time; each-way contender. |

Just one win from 13 starts but that came over C&D (good) last June and she's finished placed in two of her three runs this season; on same mark as for her staying-on third at Doncaster (6f, good) last time and she's respected back up in trip. |

Has a good low draw and she's 3lb lower than when winning at Sandown last September; however, she's failed to beat a rival on her three outings this year and a major turnaround is needed in a first-time tongue-tie. |

5yo who is lightly raced for her age and won twice last year (6f/5f, good to firm/good); well beaten at Haydock in June on sole run this season but may have needed that outing and is not written off today. |

Verdict
This looks a good opportunity for Ed Walker’s well-bred filly MIDNIGHT MOLL, who made a bright start with her win at Newmarket in June and had a tough assignment against a smart prospect there last month. She sets a clear standard back in much calmer waters and should be hard to beat on this drop back in trip. The main danger is Carva Myrine, who showed promise with her debut third at Ayr three weeks ago and is open to progress on her step up to 7f.[David Moon]
