Ballydoyle colt who is progressive in the main; justified favouritism in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown (good to yielding) most recently, taking his form figures over 1m2f to 11121 and overall strike-rate to 6-11; unable to match Ombudsman's late acceleration in the International but had got up late on to collar that rival in the Eclipse and is set for another gripping rematch. |

Won two Derby trials over C&D and bounced back from Epsom failure to win the Eclipse at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm); deserved much credit for overhauling Ombudsman late on, having found trouble in running in the straight; beaten by the same top-class rival at York; reputation largely restored all the same; major player for stable denied six in a row in this last year. |

Won two Derby trials this spring and bounced back from Derby disappointment to win the Group 1 Eclipse at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm) last month; he deserves immense credit for overhauling Ombudsman late on last time having found trouble in running in the straight and got behind, and it was a performance that suggests he could take plenty of beating today. |

Won this by 2l last year (good to firm) and he's added two further Group 1 wins since; confirmed his wellbeing when defying a penalty in the Group 3 Brigadier Gerard at Sandown (1m2f, good) three weeks ago following a two-month break; this is a tougher line-up than 12 months ago and he was runner-up to Daryz's stablemate Calandagan in the Champion Stakes over C&D (good) last October, so he's not bombproof, but he has extremely strong credentials. |

Second in this last year on his reappearance and he's won three Group 1 races since (1m2f/1m1f, good to firm/good), the latest the Dubai Turf at Meydan in March on his sole outing this year; John Gosden has said that this is "going to bring him on to where we want him at (Royal) Ascot" but he'll be very tough to beat under a 7lb penalty if close to the top of his game. |

Landed the 2,000 Guineas, albeit having got first run on the somewhat unlucky Field Of Gold, then was trained for the Derby but missed that Classic as the ground was deemed not fast enough (has raced only on good/firmer); tackling 1m at Royal Ascot backfired as his speed looked blunted after being geared up for 1m4f at Epsom; definitely ready for this step up in distance and he was very progressive prior to last time. |

Justify colt who was a 2,300,000euros breeze-up purchase as a 2yo; raced only on good/firmer and was a late withdrawal from the Derby this month as the surface was deemed not fast enough; record of 3-4 includes two emphatic wins; held on by half a length from Field Of Gold in the 2,000 Guineas most recently, having got first run on that rival; improving sharply and, with his ceiling probably not yet reached, commands major respect in the rematch. |

Has improved with racing; performed very well in French Classics the last twice, on latest occasion sneaking up the inside rail to justify favouritism in the Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly (upped to 10.5f; ground faster than the official good to soft); could well have even more to offer at this sort of distance; respected in his bid to become the third horse this decade to complete the French Derby and Eclipse double. |

Began and ended juvenile campaign with a win; twice second in Group 3 races at this venue, but failed to reach the money when favourite for the Coventry and the Gimcrack; just denied in a valuable sales race at Doncaster before redeeming himself in winning the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere; handled soft ground then, and profited from hold-up ride. |

Group 1 winner as a 2yo; came up dry in 3yo season but plenty of good runs in defeat, including when placing in the 2000 Guineas here (1m, good); has a tendency to race keenly at times, as he did when beaten a nose dropped to Listed company on seasonal return at Navan (1m1f, good), splitting Isaac Newton and Geryon; cheekpieces look a good addition and he should go well again. |

Ended his 2yo campaign with a Group 1 win, beating Delacroix in the William Hill Futurity; no wins last year, but managed a fine third in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and a fair fourth in the Irish Champion Stakes (1m2f); too keen when attempting 1m4f in the Arc; can win races at four and this appeals as a suitable starting point if his fitness holds up. |

Beat Delacroix in last year's Futurity at Doncaster; has failed to make a major impact this season, including behind Delacroix in the Eclipse; did not have much luck in running before staying on late in the Saratoga Derby six weeks ago; up against it. |

High-class French colt whose strike-rate is 6-9 and Group 1 record reads 31411, the fourth-place finish when favourite for last year's Arc; successful in the Prix Ganay (by a neck) and Prix d'Ispahan (by 1l) this season, both at Longchamp (10.5f/1m1f) on ground faster than the official good to soft; aptly bred, being by the 2009 Eclipse winner Sea The Stars, and brings solid claims to this first attempt away from home soil. |
