Brother to 1m4f Great Voltigeur third Arabian Force; rather pulled himself up in front when winning his only start as 2yo (1m, soft); still green on reappearance at Chester (1m2f, good) behind the subsequent French Derby winner Constitution River, but he stuck to his task well and that was even more the hallmark of his extremely narrow, front-running win in four-runner Listed race at Goodwood (1m3f, good) four weeks ago; the runner-up last time was again beaten a nose in the 1m6f Group 2 here on Wednesday; this one is getting the hang of it and a much bigger performance could be on its way.

Dante and Derby entry; by Lope De Vega out of well-bred mare whose three earlier offspring have best RPRs of 112, 103 and 112, including this one's brother the 2025 Great Voltigeur third Arabian Force; 13-8 favourite when winning a five-runner maiden at Doncaster (1m, soft) last October, leading 2f out and looking set for a wide-margin win before rather pulling himself up in the last half furlong; probably best forgiven that indiscretion first time out, in which case he's a good prospect for 1m2f+.

Acts on good to firm, as he showed again when he finished strongest to be pipped in 1m6f Group 2 at Royal Ascot three weeks ago (Point Of Law a close fourth, Galiyan sixth); that was the second race in succession in which he's been beaten a nose, and his sole win from eight races came at odds-on (from newcomer Point Of Law) in a novice, but his form is on an upward curve and he brings proven stamina; looks set for another big shout.
