Form & Verdict
Two siblings won Listed and Group 2 sprints; clear evidence of ability at York (5f, good to firm) last May, behind rivals who are way above this bracket; off for 11 months after and he didn't show much on his return at Doncaster in April but his AW run since (first-time cheekpieces, retained) was better; no surprise if he goes well on handicap debut.

Maiden after 12 starts but he has gone close in two C&D handicaps (good to firm) this year and to his credit that he nearly got back up three weeks ago, in this headgear combination; in the thick of it.

Only fourth in handicaps at Redcar and Carlisle on last two starts and needs something extra today if he's to get off the mark at the 12th attempt; however, he went close in a C&D seller (good to firm) last month and perhaps the return to Beverley will prompt a bigger performance.

A maiden after ten runs but went close in 5f Beverley seller (first-time tongue-tie) last month and was fourth in 5f Redcar handicap (also on good to firm) three weeks ago; recorded joint-best RPR over this C&D; big player if aided by new cheekpieces; tongue-tie left off.

Early promise for previous yard but didn't progress and it's been a struggle off high marks since switched to handicaps; dropping steadily in the weights and down in grade so may do better; has worn a hood, first-time cheekpieces today.

Opening mark suffered from one good run as 2yo and although she's dropped a few pounds this year she didn't find as much as the second Jack Rabbit Slims and third Power Of Chora over C&D recently; shade more needed.

Form & Verdict
Failed to progress as a 2yo and was well held in sprint handicaps on the AW and turf for previous yard; however, he shaped nicely on his debut for this one when third at Catterick (6f, good to firm) in June so now he's of more interest again.

Form & Verdict
Has found her level in 5f handicaps of late, getting off the mark in quite taking style at Ripon (good; chief victim has won since) before having a troubled run at Musselburgh recently; also has form on a stiff track and should be able to plunder something else off her current mark.

0-8 but she was placed on her turf debut here last month and backed that up with a close third in another 6f handicap, at Carlisle (good); looks interesting off unchanged mark and she should get a good pace on this drop back in trip.

Took a step forward when second of six on recent handicap debut at Catterick (5f, good to soft), albeit no match for the odds-on winner; trainer is a dab hand with sprinters and she's open to further improvement.

Sent off at big prices all three starts; only seventh of eight (beaten over 12l) in a 6f fillies' novice at Ripon (33-1) under a month ago; improvement necessary, even at this lowly level, on handicap debut.

Betting Forcast

Verdict

Only one of these has won a race and that was WHAT A TAHOO who appreciated the drop to 5f when winning at Ripon and had no sort of run at Musselburgh after. This stiffer track asks a question but she has form at Carlisle so this course shouldn’t be too big a problem. Roy Lane’s opening mark qualifies him for an ordinary handicap and this well-connected 3yo may be the main danger. Jack Rabbit Slims, only just foiled here last time, and Our Hero Matty are others to consider.[Emily Weber]
