Verdict
The obvious starting point is the unbeaten Ballydoyle colt Great Barrier Reef and his claims are obvious but he has to give weight away all round and on the figures, VELOZEE (nap), who was placed in a Group 1 over C&D last time, has every chance of coming out on top here. The C&D maiden winner Push The Boat Out is greatly respected stepped up in class and if conditions turn testing, it would be no surprise to see Ruler’s Control run a big race. The Ballyhane Stakes winner Livenka needs more upped in grade. [Dave Stephens]
