Ralph Beckett won both divisions of this race in 2022, one in 2023 and took it again in 2024, while also being pipped in the other 2023 division. He was well held with a joint-favourite in 2025 but she’s turned out to be useful. All of those winners were newcomers, three were fillies (including subsequent Arc winner Bluestocking) and he runs two of those this year, with 1,500,000gns purchase YAMANA seemingly more eye-catching on paper than Star Rose but the betting moves will reveal more.
