Verdict
Richard Fahey saddles two candidates who should both revel in the underfoot conditions, with the well-handicapped Monsieur Kodi likely to be better suited to today’s trip. Fast Response is another who should enjoy conditions but the two against the field are Gweedore and TACARIB BAY. Gweedore has run well in strong 6f handicaps this autumn and his latest York run, when doing best of the prominent racers and thrashing the others to race stands’ side, was right up there with his finest work. Tacarib Bay hasn’t run at 6f for some time but he is a strong traveller who confirmed he was as good as ever with a cracking run on the wrong side at Ascot in July. He comes here a fresh horse and this could set up nicely for him.[Paul Smith]
