Beaten just over 2l when an encouraging seventh of 17 at Ascot (5f, good to firm) at the start of the month; both of last year's wins came at 6f on a sound surface so has conditions to suit and he's a candidate to step forward. |

Effective at 5f but last summer's two wins came over 6f; not beaten far at Chelmsford (5f) when last seen in December; still has relatively low mileage. |

170,000gns son of Pinatubo but well held when 16-1 for 6f Kempton debut six weeks ago; no shock were he to prove a different proposition now but can't make a case for him after that first effort. |

170,000gns yearling; by Pinatubo and the first foal of a 6f AW winner whose siblings include US 1m1f turf Grade 1 winner Digital Age; attractively bred debutant who is in good hands and has clear possibilities. |

Unexposed after only four starts and recovered from slow start to take third in this grade at Southwell (5f; first-time visor; hung lef throughout) on Tuesday; moves back up in trip here; high on the list. |

AW winner (5f) for Karl Burke as a 2yo; ran well over C&D on last season's reappearance and his fourth in a big field at York on his handicap debut came off a 3lb higher mark; two subsequent efforts are excusable (Listed company and then 7f on slow ground); sold for 32,000gns in October; unexposed as a sprinter and now drops in class; stable also runs Sixtygeesbaby. |

Regressive maiden who's with her third yard; threatened to pick up a small handicap in the winter but had plenty of chances and has a bit more on her plate coming out of handicap company. |

Has reached the frame on several occasions for current yard but she was beaten 5l when third at Southwell (5f, AW) last month and that took her overall record to 0-18; others look stronger. |

28th Apr 2026 Standard 0m 4f 214y Class 6 |
9st 1lb |
Not yet off the mark but she hasn't always had the rub of the green for this yard and her latest run might have been needed; has run well on Wolverhampton Tapeta but this is her first course run so she does have a slight surface query. |

Verdict
The three at the bottom of the card appear to have easily the most substantial claims. VEBLEN GOOD registered his debut second on soft ground and that puts him top of the list, ahead of form horse Nad Alshiba Snow who has not appeared on ground that’s anything like this testing. Think Of A Name was second at Newbury on good to soft.[Richard Austen]
