Made his name over hurdles but he's 2-6 over fences and 3m on soft ground is right up his alley; it was quite comfortable when he accounted for Mill Green and Aye Right over C&D in November and a 4lb rise is not the end of the world; he's not your typical veteran chaser being so lightly raced in this discipline. |

Ran well in three strong handicap chases before suffering a surprise odds-on defeat on his hunter chase debut at Warwick, where he appeared to have it in the bag before either idling or tiring late on (3m, soft); that was very much a missed opportunity but he's still the one to beat here; first-time tongue-tie replaces cheekpieces. |
