Form & Verdict
His debut for this yard was a good while coming having fetched £90,000 after winning a point in late 2021; looks ready to make up for lost time having gone 2-2 under rules and he beat the talented Tag Man (who won easily here yesterday) at Galway despite jumping/hanging left throughout; must be smart.

Sole chase win came in 2m7f beginners' here last season but some fine runs in competitive handicaps, fourth in last season's bet365 Gold Cup and this term when second in 2m6f handicap here and most notably chasing clear leader when blundering last in 4m2f Aintree National and weakening late on when fifth of 16 finishers (good-to-soft); tendency to jump left is a negative but could go well if putting it all together here (in-form rider's claim a positive).

One positive is his staying-on third over an extended 3m4f in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown (good; 5lb higher today) last April; another is that he's trained by Willie Mullins, who described him in November as likely to be "an ideal type for the Grand National"; after a solid reappearance, he's been pulled up in good handicaps on his last two outings but both were in the mud and he got loose before the latest, which presumably didn't help.

Four-time hurdles winner; won Punchestown beginners' chase last February; beaten at short odds in a Thurles Grade 3 next time; better effort upped to 3m4f at Sandown when third (good); positive seasonal return at Punchestown when a 4.5l runner-up (2m6f, soft to heavy); weakened before three out and pulled up in Thyestes last time (3m1f, heavy); must shoulder top weight here again.

Form & Verdict
Looks mildly progressive having come from well off the pace to beat 13 rivals in a maiden at Sligo (2m4f, good); however, will need to raise his game again to keep ball with the best of these.

Irish-trained novice who has improved the last twice, easily winning big-field handicap at Leopardstown (extended 3m, good to yielding) in December then second of 16 at same track (2m5f, yielding); could do with jumping better than last time but this progressive 7yo may have more left in the tank.

Form & Verdict
Useful on the Flat in Britain and bought for 40,000gns; building some momentum since returning from an absence and absolutely dotted up in a maiden at Downpatrick (2m5f, good); faces far stiffer competition this time but that latest RPR of 132 was eyecatching.

Talented 8yo was well held when 8-1 (same price as Rocky's Diamond) in Galway Plate; easy winner of 3m conditions hurdle at Cork previously and won 2m handicap at the Curragh on Derby weekend (now rated 95 on the level); only third of five when favourite for this last year, but has improved in the interim.

2-4 over fences, though not seen in this discipline since well held in a Grade 3 at this fixture two years ago; he returns in excellent form, in recent weeks winning on the Flat (2m) and over hurdles at Cork (3m); could have a big run in him.

Smart dual-purpose type won a nice Flat prize over 2m a fortnight ago; came off worse in a couple of 3m clashes with Happy Jacky last year, but not by much, including when beaten a head in the corresponding race; relishes good ground.

Won two bumpers, one of them at this venue; useful 129-rated hurdler; won on chase debut at Galway over an extended 2m6f trip; made a bad mistake three out when remote fourth at Killarney; similar error two out ended her chance of beating the favourite in a mares' event at Listowel.

Form & Verdict
Good Flat form for the Gosdens and going the right way over hurdles, having easily won a Cork maiden before chasing home a useful rival at Kilbeggan; this company demands a further step forward but that's feasible.

Useful Flat and hurdles performer who has gone 0-5 over fences since a winning start in May 2025 and he'll need to run better than he did in a handicap chase at Ballinrobe last time; however, a case can be made off this mark on best form; versatile trip-wise from 2m to beyond 3m.

Form & Verdict
Bumper winner who comfortably justified favouritism in minor 3m events at Tipperary and Kilbeggan before coming up short at the hands of a respected opponent at Galway (2m4f); probably wants 3m and has to concede 5lb to stablemate High Class Hero, whom Paul Townend prefers.

Useful 3m hurdler for Willie Mullins before fruitless spell over fences in Britain; seems to have been revitalised by point-to-points, winning three in the spring; in contention when slipping up in banks race at Punchestown; chased home Solitary Man at Killarney and 3lb better off here.

Decent novice hurdler for Willie Mullins (suited by a sound surface) but still a maiden chaser; however, comes here on the back of three point-to-point wins for Michael Mangan, having earlier chased home Fountain House over the banks at Lingstown; not one to rule out on return to the track.
