Form & Verdict
Dragon Dancer gelding who quickly showed fairly useful form when runner-up on his first two hurdling starts here and at Ludlow; faced a stiff task when a remote fourth in Grade 2 at Haydock (3m) last time and he's a big player back in this lower grade.

In the last 13 months he's won Cheltenham's NH Chase (3m6f), the Irish National (3m5f), a hurdle race, Welsh National (near 3m7f; 12lb higher today) and a Newbury Grade 2; no way can he be ruled out, particularly as he finished well on top in those four chases, but there have also been two major blips this season; latest was in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, for which he was just 6-1 and made most but went to nothing turning for home (writing on the wall four out); however, he's bounced back before, the likely tempo of this race can suit him better and the trip looks like doing so as well.

Prominent-racer who won the NH Chase (Handicap) at this meeting 12 months ago (3m6f, good to soft) and bounced back from November's Betfair Chase flop to win the Welsh National (3m6f, good to soft) and also the Grade 2 Denman Chase (2m7f, heavy); this highly progressive 9yo is now 6-8 over fences and should prove well suited to the demands of today's race, all the more so if there's rain and stamina is at a premium; firmly in calculations.

Superbly progressive novice last term, winning Cheltenham's NH Chase (3m6f, good to soft) and the Irish National (3m5f, soft to heavy); hurdles win here in November before something seemed amiss in a Grade 1 at Haydock 16 days later, but he bounced back from that with a sparkling display to dominate the Welsh National (3m6f) six weeks ago; that was another serious advance and he looks like earning his place in top Graded races after this.

Is now 0-9 but he's proving a reliable sort and posted a good fourth of 12 in 2m4f Sandown handicap hurdle in January; he can go well again after a break.

Only 1-24, the win coming over this far as a hurdler nearly two years ago; however, twice runner-up over fences this season (2m7f) and capable of going well.

0-6 and generally disappointing during first season over fences, signing off with a poor performance in April; returns from six-month break on a good mark, though, and last month's wind op could quite plausibly aid a return to form; cheekpieces (worn for last three runs) discarded.

A winning pointer but he cut little ice in a pair of maiden hurdles at Ffos Las and Ludlow (3m) last month; significantly more is required.

Ended last season with two wins over hurdles and he outstayed his rivals to snatch another at Ffos Las (3m, heavy; under Toby McCain-Mitchell) five weeks ago in his fifth handicap chase; back up 3lb but, unraced beyond 3m, looks a strong candidate for long-distance races and therefore may be able to raise his game further.

Two wins and a second to show from three runs over hurdles during the past 12 months but hasn't looked a natural back over fences this season, jumping poorly last time (3m, good to soft); potentially well treated in this discipline but reservations at the minute.

Winning Irish pointer in 2022; missed 2023 and he wasn't in much form between February and May last year, nor when switched to fences in the autumn, but he put up a fighting display when runner-up to a well-treated one at Chepstow (2m7f, soft) recently; back up 3lb but good claims.

Form & Verdict
Winning Irish pointer; showed some promise on his sole hurdling run at Aintree for Christian Williams in October but he reportedly bled when a well-held second of three for his new yard in 2m4f Wincanton novice ten days ago; he remains with potential.

A half-brother to Constitution Hill no less and he made a winning bumper start before shaping well when placed in novice hurdles at Carlisle (2m1f) and Lingfield (2m3f) last autumn; off 124 days but he has more to offer now his stamina is drawn out more so needs considering.
