Form & Verdict
Runner-up three times in points this winter but he's made no impact in two chase runs under Rules and will need mishaps from his rivals to contend in this.

Point-to-point winner has generally struggled under Rules; beaten 62l in a Wexford novice when last seen in May; hard to fancy on handicap chase debut with blinkers replacing cheekpieces.

Form & Verdict
Bumper winner didn't hang around long over hurdles and ran reasonably well in first two starts over fences, albeit falling at Navan; his 3l third to a 142-rated winner at Punchestown gives him outstanding claims and trip/ground should be fine.

0-14 since bumper win in 2022; fourth and second in the last two Scottish Nationals, latterly off a reduced mark when wearing second-time cheekpieces two weeks ago; while that was a welcome return to form, position 12lb out of the handicap today demands so much more; 5lb claimer is called up.

Won a bumper three years ago but 0-13 since; competitive over fences last season and his 6l fourth at 50-1 in this race (soft; 8lb lower today) last April reads well, but a poor sequence since was not greatly improved by his eighth when wearing first-time cheekpieces in last month's 3m6f NH Chase.

Form & Verdict
Modest maiden pointer was runner-up on his second start in handicap chases at Navan (3m, soft to heavy) but that was off a lowly mark of 83; a bit odd that he comes back into beginners company and he can't beat the likely favourite on form but fair chance of being second all the same.

Maiden was remote fourth in this last year on handicap debut and chased home well-treated rival at Navan (3m) next time; not matched that since, fair run at Tramore last time.

Form & Verdict
Cost a fair bit after finishing runner-up in a point for Denis Murphy; modest enough form over hurdles (rated 106) but he's a half-brother to smart chasing mare Camelia De Cottte so may well do better at this game; hooded.

Gifted a 2m4f Uttoxeter race two starts back (soft), and 3m was clearly too far last time; not wholly convincing, but his one win on merit came at this time of year in 2024 on good (2m4f); tongue-tie added.

Ex-Irish 7yo; well held in his first three runs for Dan Skelton and he was around 17l down when he was gifted a race here (2m4f, soft) two weeks ago; this is a deeper contest and he has work to do to back up in trip.

Form & Verdict
Lots of winning chasers in her family and she's won three point-to-points; big-priced winner of modest Limerick maiden hurdle at Christmas; has made little impact in three chase runs, including when proving difficult to steer at Cork in January; hard to fancy.

Verdict

He’s no superstar in the Mullins yard but KLARC KENT ran to a decent level behind a useful winner at Punchestown and has been found a very weak contest. Barring mishaps, he should oblige. Modest hurdler Jasmin De Cotte is bred for this discipline and cost plenty after finishing second in a point-to-point. He can contend with modest handicapper Starlight Cato for minor honours.
