Form & Verdict
Wootton Bassett colt shaped with plenty of promise when second on debut over 7f at the Curragh, forcing the pace and finding plenty for pressure; his experience told when seeing off the green Delacroix over C&D in July; holds multiple Group 1 entries and will give the likely favourite plenty to think about again.

Beat the top-class Delacroix in a Leopardstown Group 2 as a 2yo (1m, good); sixth in the 2,000 Guineas before making all in a Leopardstown Listed race in June (1m1f, good); respectable efforts in the Irish Derby here (1m4f, good) and in a York Group 2 (10.5f, good); shaped as though he would improve over his return in a Group 3 here last time when fading into fourth (1m2f, soft); a good bit to find with the top ones here all the same.

Beat the top-class Delacroix in Group 2 at Leopardstown at two (1m, good); sixth in 2,000 Guineas before making all in Listed race at Leopardstown last June (1m1f, good); respectable sixth in the Irish Derby (1m4f, good); front-running effort petered out when fourth in York Group 2 event, though was best of the Classic generation; should make a smart middle distance 4yo.

Form & Verdict
Huge run in second over C&D on debut in July when chasing home Green Impact who had the benefit of experience on the day; restless in the stalls when last seen over 7f at the Curragh, he broke out smartly and made all to win in style; three subsequent winners have come out of the race and he's the choice of Ryan Moore; should be a more mature horse now and can get the better of his main rival on this occasion.

Ballydoyle colt who is progressive in the main; justified favouritism in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown (good to yielding) most recently, taking his form figures over 1m2f to 11121 and overall strike-rate to 6-11; unable to match Ombudsman's late acceleration in the International but had got up late on to collar that rival in the Eclipse and is set for another gripping rematch.

Won two Derby trials over C&D and bounced back from Epsom failure to win the Eclipse at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm); deserved much credit for overhauling Ombudsman late on, having found trouble in running in the straight; beaten by the same top-class rival at York; reputation largely restored all the same; major player for stable denied six in a row in this last year.

Won two Derby trials this spring and bounced back from Derby disappointment to win the Group 1 Eclipse at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm) last month; he deserves immense credit for overhauling Ombudsman late on last time having found trouble in running in the straight and got behind, and it was a performance that suggests he could take plenty of beating today.

Form & Verdict
Cost $1.8 million as a yearling; finished behind Green Impact when a promising fourth on his Curragh debut (7f, good), staying on well to the line after being outpaced early; appreciated the step up to 1m when landing the odds by 9l in a Dundalk maiden last month; holds lofty entries but Ryan Moore has opted to ride Delacroix which would suggest he's the stable second string.

Form & Verdict
Placed twice, including a conditions event here, before readily landing 7.5f Roscommon maiden (good) in July; he was set to follow up over 1m at Killarney next time having gone clear before crashing through the rails inside final 110yds; folded tamely when third in Listed contest at Tipperary, 2l clear turning into the straight; looks well up against it in this company.

Won twice in Ireland for Joseph O'Brien; retains ability but the handicapper looks to be holding the aces at present; drops in class today but may need some more weight off his back.

Held up of late; competitive if judged on his peak Irish form for Joseph O'Brien, which was a 9.5f win last June in first-time blinkers; has played minor roles for new yard since, with some promise on occasions at Meydan (1m1f-1m4f) this year but others have more pressing claims.

Soundly beaten on stable debut at Yarmouth (1m1f, soft) three weeks ago but shaped as though he may have needed that run and he's back in blinkers today, which he wore for the first time when winning at Gowran Park (9.5f, good) in June on his final outing for Joseph O'Brien; interesting.
