Form & Verdict
Unbeaten in three starts, all this summer; last two races were a Group 3 at the Curragh (1m2f, yielding to soft) and Group 2 Gordon Stakes at Goodwood (1m4f, good to firm) with his jockey having to work hard in both, to get him to the front late in the day on first occasion and to stay in front last time; he kept on finding, while still looking a work in progress with more to give; similar form to the other leading contenders and this trip may well help, so he's one to take very seriously.

Underperformed in the King George on last appearance, having set a pace that perhaps wasn't strong enough given his proven stamina (St Leger winner); cheekpieces worn that day are now removed; mostly progressive otherwise, still has a good strike-rate (5-7) and showed tip-top form to beat Calandagan in the 2025 Coronation Cup at Epsom; the pick on ratings, accordingly.

Ballydoyle colt and son of 2001 King George winner Galileo; record suggests he won't mind what the weather does; sometimes sweats, including in both starts this term, and looked a difficult ride on reappearance; bounced back in the Coronation Cup at Epsom where he knuckled down well to beat Calandagan, taking form figures to 111121 and Group 1 score to 2-2 (gained the other win in last year's St Leger); has very progressive RPRs in the main; highly respected, assuming he takes well to first-time headgear.

Form & Verdict
Races close to the pace; justified 7-4 favouritism in Group 2 Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot (1m6f, good to firm); improved his standing with rallying seconds in the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp (1m4f, soft) and Group 2 Great Voltigeur at York (1m4f, good to firm) and that's while shaping as if a return to this sort of trip would suit him down to the ground; tendency to hang was less evident last time; strong claims.

Ran as if something was amiss in the Irish St Leger on last appearance; very consistent otherwise and justified favouritism in this contest (good) 12 months ago, prior to second-place finishes in two Cup races; beaten only a neck by stablemate Jan Brueghel in the 2024 St Leger; respected in rematch with that rival.

Very consistent high-class stayer; narrowly beaten in last year's St Leger at Doncaster and beat Al Qareem on seasonal return in Ormonde Stakes (Chester) before second placings in both Ascot Gold Cup and when outstayed by stablemate Scandinavia in 2m Goodwood Cup, having made the running; cheekpieces now tried and big player.

Sometimes hangs under pressure but he's a resolute galloper who races prominently and can make the running if necessary; superbly reliable since last May and although he's not yet won a Group 1, he's been second in three of them, including last year's St Leger and last month's Gold Cup at Royal Ascot; another leading role looks assured.

Form & Verdict
Group 1 winner on testing ground in France at two; second in Irish Derby at the Curragh (good) is his standout performance, staying on well on his step up to 1m4f; hampered entering the final turn when trying to come from off the pace again in the King George at Ascot (1m4f, good to firm), which seemed to halt his momentum and he was beaten about 10l in fourth as the sole 3yo; this trip is worth a go and he's a player on that Curragh performance.

Peak efforts were as a 3yo but reappearance at Meydan this January saw his first win since 2023; nearly won another 1m6f Group 3 there next time, before a headstrong display (set up big lead) saw him tail off in 2m Dubai Gold Cup five weeks ago; the latter was in blinkers (first time since September) which are unsurprisingly left off today; thereabouts if bouncing back.

No win since Group 1 as 2yo; good third, however, in the 14.5f St Leger here one year ago and only half a length behind Sweet William when trying 2m in the Goodwood Cup on penultimate outing; hampered at 1m4f latest; into new territory over this trip but Goodwood Cup suggests he is a serious player.

Probably okay on any going; runner-up in last season's Irish Derby and third in the St Leger; those are the clear highlights in form terms but his always-prominent fourth of 12 in Group 2 Hardwicke at Royal Ascot last month in first-time blinkers was much more like it again; this is a new trip but he's stuck to his task well on those best efforts over 1m4f/14.5f.

Form & Verdict
Unraced on firmer than good; fourth in Group 1 Futurity here (1m, heavy) last October; sole win was a novice event but he came from last (over 5f out) to fourth in a 16-runner race for the Derby at Epsom (1m4f, good to soft) next time and also stayed on when beaten a neck in Listed contest at Windsor (11.4f, soft) three weeks ago; wore cheekpieces in those last two starts but now tries blinkers; the trip makes some appeal but he does need to improve.

Fourth in the 2024 Derby and St Leger; however, well held in Saudi Arabia and Dubai on his only two starts last year, left Owen Burrows for 16,000gns last October, gelded and never dangerous in 2m Ascot Group 3 (150-1) on return, so he seems to be swimming against the tide in this good race.

Form & Verdict
Did well in the mud as a 2yo and has come good again with seriously committed front-running rides over 1m6f at the Curragh (good) on last two outings; had a huge lead turning for home in both, cut down by a very smart older stablemate in Group 2 on first occasion but thoroughly dominating at 1-2 in a Group 3 four weeks ago; that makes him a serious player on form and the others should not bank on him faltering if he again sets up a big lead.

Form & Verdict
Hooded on last four starts; won his first two handicaps, latterly over C&D (good); a bad slip excuses his next outing and he resumed improvement when fourth of 16 in the Melrose Handicap at York (1m6f, good to firm) on latest, meeting interference but staying on well from off the pace; while better than that result, he has a mountain to climb in this Classic.

Progressive handicapper last season who ended up in the St Leger, perhaps a little flattered by that bare result as the form has not been repeated; third in the 2m5f Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot on penultimate outing was clearly his most competitive show this season and gives hope, but he flopped at Newbury on latest.

Regularly hooded and goes on all ground; progressive 1m4f/1m6f handicapper last season and ended up in the St Leger (wasn't disgraced, beaten 7l); hasn't really got anything going this year since gelded, last time finishing last of four runners in an Italian Listed race (1m4f); every chance on the figures if rediscovering his mojo and seeing out the trip, but there are doubts on both counts.

Form & Verdict
Twice something of a tearaway front-runner earlier this term but she seems to be settling down a bit and delivered much better form when tongue tied and coming from mid-division in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh (1m4f, good; won) and Yorkshire Oaks at York (1m4f, good to firm; second) on last two starts; needs to keep a lid on it over a longer trip today but she's been galloping on in those last two races and has a stout enough pedigree; another who's firmly in the mix on form too.

Class act who won last year's Irish Oaks and nearly followed up in the Yorkshire equivalent; cost Amo Racing a fortune after she finished last in the St Leger and suffered the same fate on her return in the Coronation Cup; however, this is a severe drop in class and would be hard to beat, even at this shorter trip, if new trainer Adrian Murray can get her back on track; 1-1 on the AW; tongue-tie left off.
