Didn't look straightforward when the race got serious on last two outings but he was nevertheless better at keeping a straight line when cheekpieces were enlisted for six-runner maiden at Sandown (1m2f, good) last time and stuck his neck out well to win by 1l; some improvement is probably needed going handicapping but he has to be considered seriously in this small field. |

Comes with some risk having looked far from straightforward under pressure at Newmarket last time, albeit was perhaps partly unsuited by the track and either way may be aided by first-time headgear today; has shown consistent promise otherwise and holds particularly strong claims on penultimate effort, namely third in above-average maiden at Newbury (1m2f, good) that has worked out well. |
