Gained second career win on latest over C&D (good) and the runner up Zenford has won since; 5lb rise for that short-head success seems fair and his C&D form figures now read 311; should be in the mix again.

Solid nursery performer on easy ground, winning over C&D last September; good effort on return when second at Cork (1m, soft to heavy); well beaten on good going at Naas; trainer would seem to have a better chance with the high-class Quiet Mutiny.

Sprang a 33-1 surprise in a C&D maiden (good) last July; last of six in Tipperary listed race the following month; weakened on soft ground upped to 1m on handicap debut here when last seen in October; gelded, 4lb lower now and worth a market check on return.

Gustav Klimt colt pulled off a 33-1 surprise when making most and winning on debut at Leopardstown (7f, good) last month; second and third from that race have since finished 1-2 in a maiden at Galway; likely to face competition for the lead here though.

Form & Verdict
Rewarded for a string of consistent efforts with a win at Limerick on latest (7f, soft) off 5lb lower; closely matched with Invincible Will on Curragh running in May; looks progressive and should go well again but majority of form on easier ground than this.

Looked raw first time at Galway and deserves plenty of credit for getting the better of the twice-raced runner-up; has the makings of a long-term prospect, but the form is of questionable value at this level, since the second was a beaten favourite from a mark of 79 in a Killarney nursery on her next start.

Ten-race maiden was denied by 0.5l by Zenford at Limerick last time out (7f, soft) and just 2lb higher now; went close on good ground at Fairyhouse in May; in the mix again but needs to find a bit more to get his head in front.

Best two efforts in four maiden runs came over 7f at Dundalk last winter; not a bad run on handicap bow and seasonal return at Limerick (7f, soft) behind Zenford and Venetian Star; same mark here and Keane takes over now; ran well on good ground at the Curragh last term; interesting.

Placed in a couple of maidens last season at 6f-1m on good ground; soundly beaten on seasonal return/handicap debut at Down Royal in May (10.5f, good) but improved effort dropped back to 1m at the Curragh last time; eased 1lb for that 4l defeat and this shorter trip should be fine; not dismissed.

11/1 Invincible Will, 12/1 Time Bender, 5/2 Zenford, 25/1 Dawn Romance, 16/1 Mighty Danu, 10/1 Dark Leader, 9/2 Venetian Star, 4/1 Caitouna, 15/2 Watch Tower, 14/1 Chapel Lane

Verdict

There wasn’t much between Zenford and Venetian Star on softer ground at Limerick last time but the fourth from that race, WATCH TOWER, should improve plenty for that first run of the season, and may be able to turn the tables on this quicker ground. Caitouna isn’t discounted after her win at Fairyhouse last time, and Dark Leader is an interesting handicap debutant. [Dave Stephens]
