    Already a Group 1 winner in the Phoenix Stakes, SUN GODDESS was head and shoulders above the opposition at York. Even so, she managed to enhance her reputation with a stunning burst of acceleration after suffering interference. She looks likely to stay this extra furlong and gets the vote to uphold form with Green Empress, who got off the mark with a C&D Group 2 win from Dancing Destiny and Alpha. [Alan Sweetman]
