Nick Scholfield’s new recruit Handmedownastar (second choice) breezed to a Fontwell novice win in May and is open to further improvement in handicaps, while Fairlawn Skipper got his career back on track with a convincing C&D win last month and Secret Secret will warrant consideration if he makes a quick reappearance after Saturday’s run here. However, well-handicapped teenager DINONS drops in grade after running respectably in a competitive C&D race last month and, with the forecast rain not a worry, might be worth chancing.[Chris Wilson]
