Ended last season on a low note but ran big race in defeat at Worcester (2m, good) in August, after a break, and is still on a workable mark after a 2lb nudge; handles good to soft ground but may not want it soft. |

Won a maiden and a Southwell novice handicap last spring (2m, good/good to soft); hasn't run as well since and was pulled up on first run after a wind op in a mares' final at Cheltenham last time (2m4f, good; reportedly never travelling); bit to prove back from a break. |

Soft-ground C&D winner just over a year ago and added to her tally at Doncaster (2m, good) last March; not firing on all cylinders this season, though, and needs a good boost from the first-time cheekpieces today. |

Two hurdle wins at about 2m1f this year (soft and good ground), lifting her level at Doncaster in March; had some relatively quiet runs since but looked on the way back at Newcastle recently, is on winning mark and Harry Cobden up for the first time; yard won this in 2020. |

Exploited much-reduced mark at Southwell (2m4f, good) and it was over 2m7f when not so good at Bangor; this should be more her trip but she is a hard mare to predict. |

Out of form during light campaign last season but cashed in on much-reduced mark at Southwell (2m4f, good) this month; not yet proven over this longer trip but recent 4lb rise ought to be manageable; respected. |

Out of form since returning from long absence in December, albeit her seventh of eight at Aintree (2m4f, good; first run after wind op) last month was arguably more encouraging than bare form suggests; others have more pressing claims. |

2m1f hurdle winner in France in January; yet to shine for her new stable but she's dropped 19lb in three runs; worth a market check. |

Easily won claiming hurdle on very soft ground in France in January but started off for Alexandra Dunn with two underwhelming novice runs towards end of last season; of interest only if strong in the betting. |

Ended a two-year losing run with a strong late surge at Market Rasen (2m, good; last two hurdles omitted) last month in a first-time hood; nudged up only 1lb and likely to be involved again if reproducing that effort. |

No win since January 2024; consistent (43322) last autumn/winter; tried to make all at Kelso (2m, good) 19 days ago but faded from the second-last, finishing over 15l fourth to the subsequent Perth winner Scots Poet; 3lb lower, with headgear added. |

On a long losing sequence but she arrives in good nick, ridden aggressively when fifth in 2m Warwick handicap in March; she can make her presence felt after a break. |

Close third in Cheltenham Grade 2 novice (2m good to soft) in October and again ran commendably well when third in Newbury Listed race (2m, soft) a few weeks later but was tailed off when reappearing in a handicap last month and it's hard to know what to expect from her here. |

Absent since late November but was in a good run of form back then, finishing close up in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham before again placed in a Listed race for mares; beaten off lower marks in her previous handicaps but looks a better horse now. |

Verdict
In an interesting mares’ race the vote goes to JAMINSKA, who beat two subsequent winners in a Hereford fillies’ race in January and remains very unexposed. Holly made a very promising handicap debut when fresh just over a year ago and will be dangerous if back on song. Shelikesthelights, Ravenscar and Golden Glance also have plenty going for them.[Chris Wilson]
