Form & Verdict
Unbeaten under rules including odds-on hurdle wins at Galway and Listowel; didn't seem suited by going right-handed when beating pair of subsequent winners at the former venue so that is a slight concern; trip fine and ground should be too.

Sole chase win came in 2m7f beginners' here last season but some fine runs in competitive handicaps, fourth in last season's bet365 Gold Cup and this term when second in 2m6f handicap here and most notably chasing clear leader when blundering last in 4m2f Aintree National and weakening late on when fifth of 16 finishers (good-to-soft); tendency to jump left is a negative but could go well if putting it all together here (in-form rider's claim a positive).

One positive is his staying-on third over an extended 3m4f in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown (good; 5lb higher today) last April; another is that he's trained by Willie Mullins, who described him in November as likely to be "an ideal type for the Grand National"; after a solid reappearance, he's been pulled up in good handicaps on his last two outings but both were in the mud and he got loose before the latest, which presumably didn't help.

Four-time hurdles winner; won Punchestown beginners' chase last February; beaten at short odds in a Thurles Grade 3 next time; better effort upped to 3m4f at Sandown when third (good); positive seasonal return at Punchestown when a 4.5l runner-up (2m6f, soft to heavy); weakened before three out and pulled up in Thyestes last time (3m1f, heavy); must shoulder top weight here again.

Form & Verdict
Dual bumper winner; lots of experience in this sphere and on a hat-trick after 2m4f wins at Tipperary and Galway where he beat three Mullins-trained runners; winning form all on decent ground.

Talented hurdler placed at Grade 2 level in that sphere; 0-4 over fences and has been sparingly raced in the last two seasons; off since below par effort on debut for this yard at Wexford in May; capable but probably best watched on return to action.

Dual bumper and hurdles winner for Peter Fahey but not as good a chaser last season; changed yards and reverts to hurdles off reduced mark and goes well fresh.

Form & Verdict
Unbeaten since joining Elliott, winning 2m1f bumper and pair of 2m hurdles; ground should be okay but has to prove stamina for this trip.

High-class staying hurdler, rated 155; 0-5 so far chasing this term but much more encouraging run on latest when second to the classy Oscars Brother in Grade 2 Ten Up Novices' at Navan last month; jumping still requires attention but is 13lb lower than hurdles here in first handicap chase.

High-class staying hurdler, rated 155; now has serious questions to answer after his first four chase starts; remote seventh in Leopardstown event won by Koktail Divin (previously beaten by Oscars Brother at Punchestown); needs to jump a lot better than in 2m4f Gowran event; longer trip should be a help at least.

Form & Verdict
Beat a horse now rated 142 over hurdles in Navan bumper; form of 2l fourth against more experienced rivals over 2m4f here last Christmas reads well although that was slowly-run affair and might be flattered by it; yard going well and chance has to be taken seriously.
