Downgraded from a Grade 2, SOUTHOFTHEBORDER is taken to provide Nicky Henderson with a third successive victory in this race. He was noticeably strong in the market at Sandown, and it could be the heavy ground was holding him back when about 4l off the pace at his point of departure two out.
