Appreciated the step up to 1m6f, first-time cheekpieces and soft ground when narrowly taking a valuable handicap at Haydock last July; yet to find any further improvement but, despite the absence of headgear, it was a nice return he made when a staying-on fifth at Ascot (1m4f, soft; just behind Sir Rumi); if happy on the ground (won on good to firm earlier in career) then he should be involved. |
