Verdict
None of the four runners have raced on slower than good to soft and with conditions expected to be extremely demanding (standing water on the track on Saturday), this looks a race to tread carefully with. Volcanology showed a good attitude to win at Brighton 13 days ago and should get the run of things but PICK YOUR BATTLES is improving with experience and has more to come as his stamina is more fully tested.[Paul Smith]
