Form & Verdict
Faced with his stiffest stamina test yet when delivering a dominant display over C&D (soft) in March, coming clear late on under Bruce Lynn; returns with plenty in his favour and a 5lb higher mark might not be beyond him.

12yo who lacked fluency when back over fences and was soundly beaten at Haydock in December; however, prior to that he made a fairly encouraging return from an absence over hurdles at Ayr and he's a six-time winner at Kelso; could have a part to play now back here.

Form & Verdict
Formerly with Paul Nicholls and makes stable debut after a 630-day absence; thorough stayer who won over 3m5f at Sandown (good to soft) in his latest campaign before finishing second in the Welsh National (soft); new trainer can get them fit at home but this 10yo is likely to be back over longer trips sooner or later; tongue-tie is new.

Stout stayer who was runner-up in the 2021 Welsh National; off for 20 months after next outing but quickly found his form for new yard and he was the freshest horse in the race when galloping on relentlessly at Newbury (3m2f, heavy) ten days ago; however, a penalty takes him back to a career-high mark which will be hard to overcome at this level.

Form & Verdict
Record of 4-13 over fences; looked a lost cause for much of a four-runner race here (2m7f, good to soft; made mistakes) in March but got up in the dying strides; that enhanced his good record here and he's readily forgiven his defeat in the Scottish National on latest start; capable of showing his true form after an absence.

Very well handicapped on old form and returned from layoff with quite encouraging run at Musselburgh (2m7f, good to soft) in January but ought to have been suited by the heavy ground when tailed off at Kelso last month and it's hard to know what to expect from him here.

12yo who wasn't the force of old last season but he's dropped down the weights and returned from an absence with an encouraging fourth at Musselburgh (2m7f, good to soft) a fortnight ago; could show the benefit of that latest outing today, especially now back at a track where he is four from six.

Won over 3m at Wetherby (soft) last December and runner-up in two of her three subsequent runs; however, has never raced beyond 3m and being 5lb out of the weights is no help.

Form & Verdict
Has his own way of doing things but he's compiled some profile with his standout performances in winning two Ultimas at the Cheltenham Festival (3m1f on good to soft and soft) and last season's Grand National; mightily impressive at Aintree to earn this 13lb higher mark; could still be capable of better and he's fine in small fields.

Sole run on heavy was a win on rules debut; tasted success at two Cheltenham Festivals, coming from well off the pace, before the even sweeter prize of this race last year when he was never far away and had zero alarms before some idling in front after grabbing total control at the final fence (much earlier than usual); last month's Cheltenham Gold Cup (soft) seemed to show the ceiling of his ability, when it looked exceedingly hard work for him from the final fence, but that was while finishing an excellent third with career-best form; 13lb higher than last year but still well in and should go well if the Gold Cup did not make him dig too deep.

Form & Verdict
Standout performance came in first-time cheekpieces when winning well at Cheltenham (3m2f, soft) on New Year's Day; below that level next time and pulled up in the Kim Muir when tried in a visor; not on a bad mark and cheekpieces return, but his record fresh isn't overly encouraging.
