Form & Verdict
All races on good ground; looked open to improvement despite the narrow winning margin in an ordinary Ludlow bumper; held up and never reached a challenging position on hurdle debut at Kempton (20-1) in November; down in class but unknown quantity on heavy ground.

Unable to justify good market support when well beaten on final two starts last season (2m4f/2m3f) but got his act together when dropped back to 2m at Ffos Las (good to soft) last month, coming from behind to win stylishly by over 4l; 7lb higher in a stronger race here but might kick on again.

Unable to justify solid market support on final two appearances last season (pulled up/beaten 38l) and has now been unplaced all seven hurdling starts; evidently thought capable of better, though, and it will be interesting to see whether his supporters wade in again; drops back in trip; cheekpieces removed after one use.

Dam placed in French and Italian Oaks, bred three smart/useful jumpers; made favourite for 2m4f hurdle debut at Aintree in May 2022 but his race was run when he crashed out at the last; interesting to see how the betting goes.

Triple-figure prices all three starts, finishing well back in two bumpers and out of contention when unseating at the last on hurdle debut at Warwick in November.

Made all to open account over C&D (good) in first-time blinkers ten days ago, his 11th start over fences; drew nicely clear of the others with the runner-up that day and was only raised 3lb; could be hard to catch.

Can make mistakes but mainly consistent over fences for this yard; pulled up at Warwick after an error last time but 2m and ground that was likely faster than good were probably not ideal; that brought his record to 0-18 but he's not ruled out in first-time blinkers back up in trip.

Held up and was never that threatening when beaten just over 7l into fourth at Ffos Las (2m3f, good to soft); that's two pleasing enough runs since the visor went on and this 17-race maiden has each-way claims.

Form & Verdict
Nothing striking in two point runs and he failed to complete in first two hurdle outings on consecutive days in November, slipping and unseating early the first time and pulled up two out at Leicester.

Form & Verdict
Signs of ability in an Irish point in April, behind recent Newbury maiden hurdle winner; low-key hurdle debut but fared better when tongue tied at Ayr last week (2m, soft), looking beaten after two out but keeping on quite well; not ruled out with cheekpieces added.

Form & Verdict
Left moderate bumper form well behind since hurdling, notably at Ffos Las (2m, heavy) on third start when making a race of it with a promising type; this stiff test at the trip can suit; major claims.

Has done well since switched to this discipline (winning twice) and his blowouts have come in strong races, latterly in the 2m4f Greatwood Gold Cup here three weeks ago; more exposed than some in here and he's unraced past 2m5f, but can be competitive off this mark.

Verdict

Although TEDLEY looked a stayer in the making at Ffos Las he should still have plenty to offer over a stiff 2m like today’s against opposition who have something to prove one way or another. Dominic’s Fault is worth a market check but Professor Klump looks likely to provide the biggest threat to Tedley, with Bobby’s Fortune having his first run on ground slower than good.[Emily Weber]
