Won her maiden here last season over 1m on good to yielding; followed that with a creditable effort on heavy in a Listed race at Leopardstown in October; her final run of 2024 at Saint-Cloud was too bad to be true; only rated 91 but she's proven on testing ground and she could outrun her likely odds.

Churchill filly made encouraging belated debut when second to subsequent Irish Cambridgeshire runner-up State Actor at the Curragh (1m, heavy) in April; unable to land short odds at Navan next time under forceful tactics but pair well clear of the remainder; this looks an ordinary maiden and she should make it third time lucky if she handles a sounder surface.

Verdict

Those that have run can be ruled out but no fancy entries amongst the debutants and it’s a guessing game. Barry Fitzgerald and Natalia Lupini are stables to greatly respect and the former often produces a useful type or two in early-season maidens so MISS MEAGHER is a hopeful selection to get the better of Lupini’s charge Bleak Midwinter. From the bigger yards, It’sonlyjustbegun ansd Glen Princess are of obvious interest too. [Mark Nunan]
