Form & Verdict
Created a big impression when running away with a pair of Southwell novice events (7f) on his first two starts; pitched into the 2000 Guineas on his third start and finished out the back, as he did in the Jersey Stakes one month later; a wind op and a return to AW sparked a revival at Kempton last month, running away with a 6f conditions event having set a strong pace early and maintained the gallop as his rivals toiled in behind; hasn't got the benefit of a bend to go around today but his high cruising speed will still be a big asset; unlikely we've seen the best of him yet.

Has taken time to get to grips with turf and was easily seen off when fourth in this last year; however, a gelding operation in the close season has worked wonders and he followed a Group 3 win with one in a Group 2 at Haydock (5f, good to soft), overcoming a slow start to win in some style; his star has dimmed somewhat at Royal Ascot and Goodwood since, but the return to a flat track offers hope that he can be on song again.

Returned this year having been gelded and he's been an improved model, winning the Group 3 Palace House at Newmarket (5f, good to firm) and the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock (5f, good to soft) before leading home those who raced in the centre group when tenth of 26 overall at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm); usually front-runs and this speedy track should suit him better than Ascot (ran well in this last year); strong claims despite 3lb penalty.

Turned his back on a brilliant AW career and, after some fruitless efforts on turf in 2025, as when fading into mid-division in this race, the switch has paid off handsomely since he was gelded, the usual front-running tactics working well at Newmarket (good to firm) before he showed he doesn't have to lead when arriving late for a cosy Group 2 win at Haydock (also 5f, good to soft) in May; this stiff 5f asks a question but he could achieve yet more.

Form & Verdict
High-class sprinter on his day and boasts a good record on AW (including two course wins); won a huge pot in Saudi Arabia in February and that race likely to be on his agenda again this winter; in and out since returning from six months off but his Newbury third (inadequate 5f) was promising and he ran a fair bit better than the distance beaten suggests in the big sprint on Champions Day (6f, soft); hard to beat if anywhere near his best but the stable are having a quiet autumn (just 2-86 since October 1st as of Thursday morning).

Having edged down the weights he offered a good deal more when third to Tuco Salamanca at Newcastle (6f, AW) in June; finished with a flourish when seventh behind Dubai Bling at Ascot (5f, good to firm) three weeks ago, a run that confirmed he was still in good order; returning to 6f will help and he can't be dismissed, for all that he has been well beaten in this race twice before (2022 and 2025).

Handicap wins at Newbury and C&D in the first half of the year marked him down as one to keep firmly onside; ran well over 5f at Haydock in September but he ran no sort of race at Ascot six weeks ago when a refusal to settle in a slowly run race did for him; 3-3 on AW and could still have more to offer; tongue tied for the first time.

Smart form in 2024, including over C&D; only ran once in 2025 and he has finished out of the places in all three starts this year but that doesn't tell the whole story as he made some striking late headway into sixth over C&D in January; he has undergone wind surgery since last seen and now sports a tongue tie; looks on a dangerous mark and could be a major player if he can avoid forfeiting too much ground at the start.

Smart handicap form here early in the year; numerous good efforts on turf this summer and he also ran well in a Group 3 in Ireland three weeks ago, racing on the outside of the field but beaten just one length into fifth (5f); should run his race but perhaps vulnerable for win purposes.

Gained his biggest win to date when landing the corresponding event 12 months ago (run at Lingfield); high-class handicap form when winning at Wolverhampton in August but he blew out at Kempton last time (behind Night Raider) when a hot favourite; given his overall profile it may be best to forgive that and he's a leading contender judged on his best efforts, including a Group 3 third over C&D in June.
