Form & Verdict
Acts on soft; usually runs in better races and took advantage of the drop back to Class 3 at Newbury (2m4f, good to soft) last month, scoring by 11l; back up 8lb but warrants respect kept to this grade.

Last won in January 2023; the form pick judged on peak efforts, including three last winter; they were 2m or 2m1f but his never-dangerous fifth of nine over C&D on latest outing gave some renewed hope, given he was badly hampered at the start.

Form & Verdict
Acts on heavy; completed a useful double at Newbury (2m4f) last March, the second leg off this mark (beat Sir Psycho); not in the same form since but this drop back in grade may prompt a resurgence.

One of several runners who are dropping back in class; ties in with Heltenham on Newbury form last March and shaped better than bare result at same course (again over 2m4f) most recently; could go well.

Form & Verdict
Hurdle/chase winner for Willie Mullins; always behind in 2m4f handicap hurdle at Newbury six weeks ago on debut for new yard, having been friendless in the betting; market may again prove instructive.

Form & Verdict
Unraced on soft/heavy; failed to show his form over 3m back hurdling last time; steadily progressive at up to 2m5f otherwise and is 1-1 over fences (Ascot win in November); remains of interest, back down in trip.

Won a four-runner race at Ascot (2m3f; stays 2m5f) on chase debut in November, sometimes jumping to his right; reverted to hurdling and upped to 3m for handicap at Cheltenham five weeks ago, running poorly, but he's interesting if tapping into the Ascot promise.

Form & Verdict
Acts on any ground; campaigned back at about 2m last year, running creditably just once; defied an 8lb higher mark at Ascot (2m3f) on last attempt over this sort of trip and scored at Kempton on last attempt in this grade; attractively weighted and interesting.

Has done his winning over 2m; perhaps not crying out for this return to 2m4f but is difficult to dismiss, having produced a career-best performance at Ludlow (good to soft; won easily) most recently.

Form & Verdict
Fairly useful on his day, such as when winning two novice handicap chases (2m3f/2m4f, heavy) last season; far from consistent otherwise for current stable and doesn't look a solid option.

Last campaign was very hit and miss but included two wins over about 2m4f on heavy going and he seems to be working his way back to form this season; not proven beyond 2m5f but he's too well handicapped to be ignored.

Verdict

Off a very attractive mark back down in class and back up in distance, TRIPLE TRADE looks particularly interesting. Saint Segal, who warrants respect kept to this level and represents last year’s winning yard, is second choice. Heltenham and Sir Psycho are well capable of being involved, while Bhaloo may still have further progress in him[Steve Boow]
