Wore cheekpieces for his two handicaps, on first occasion suffering plenty of trouble in running on his way from the rear to be second of 13 at Goodwood; 8-13 at Doncaster (again 1m2f; good to firm) two weeks later and duly went one better, by just a neck but the first two drew clear in five-runner race; up 3lb but probably more to give and this looks a good opportunity. |
