Made a winning handicap debut on AW (7f) in April and doubled his tally when tackling turf for the first time at Newbury (1m, good to soft) in June; underperformed on good to firm back there in July (also non-runner due to quick ground at Glorious Goodwood three weeks later) but no surprise were he to resume his progression back on a softer surface; the way he saw things out when winning at Newbury suggests this sort of trip should be within range. |
