Form & Verdict
13-race maiden; gave it a good go but found one stronger late on at Thirsk (1m6f, good to firm; 12-1) six weeks ago; stable continues to go well and this 4yo is only 1lb higher back over 2m; possibilities.

Still a maiden after 12 starts and was last of four in a Doncaster handicap (14.5f, good to firm) two weeks ago; wasn't beaten far in that race but he needs to find more to get off the mark.

Still a maiden and latest close third at Catterick (2m, good to firm) came in a field of four, so that form looks a tad dubious.

Form & Verdict
5-46, but without a win since July 2024 (York); runner-up in added cheekpieces at Catterick (2m, good) in May; soundly beaten at Pontefract (2m1f; beaten 22l) three months ago; mark continues to ease; this stablemate of Bollin Neil has questions to answer.

Should be well handicapped and has run well in defeat with cheekpieces added (joining regular tongue-tie) in last two races, behind Laravie in the penultimate one; surprising to see the blinkers back on.

Solid effort when second of eight at Catterick ten days ago (2m, good; first run in this combination of accessories); should remain competitive.

Form & Verdict
Catterick specialist (Flat and jumps); won twice at that North Yorkshire venue (1m6f-2m; from lower marks) last October, but off since producing a laboured effort over hurdles there - post-race examination revealed no abnormalities - in January; veteran stablemate of Zimmerman.

Prolific winner who arrives seeking a hat-trick, after winning over C&D (soft) and 1m6f (good) here this month; back up a total of 7lb so this looks a tougher assignment but still has pretty strong claims.

Form & Verdict
5-42, his last three wins close to home on the July Course at Newmarket (2m); third to Regally Blonde in this last year and the handicapper is beginning to cut him some slack (back on last winning mark); vulnerable to younger rivals?

10yo whose last three wins (in 2022, 2023 and 2025) came in the 2m handicap he contested here six weeks ago; could only manage 5l third to the reopposing Prince Quattro in this year's renewal; 4lb better off with that rival this time but it may not be enough.

T: John Berry

10yo whose last three wins came in this race (2022, 2023 and 2025) and it's now named after him; did it in good style from the back last year (good to firm) and is now 3lb higher; made a satisfactory return to action at Yarmouth last month and the chief concern today is probably whether there will be enough pace in the race for his stamina to kick in sufficiently.

Form & Verdict
Last year's winner (Jack Nicholls aboard); had struggled thereafter until springing a 33-1 surprise on AW at Lingfield (2m; from 3lb lower) a fortnight ago; no issues with good to soft/soft, so she has to enter the reckoning.

Well handicapped on her Ripon win (2m, good to firm) last August but she's not made an impact in six runs this season; wasn't far behind Le Rouge Chinois at Yarmouth (1m6f) last time but she needs to find more back up in trip.

An infrequent winner but hasn't had a lot of racing since defying an 8lb higher mark over 2m at Ripon last August (good to firm); ran poorly when tried in blinkers once before (usually sports cheekpieces); Saffie Osborne rides but this filly has some questions to answer at present.

Verdict

Even with last year’s winner REGALLY BLONDE, and third Dereham, back for more, this lacks a standout. Ben Case’s mare won’t mind the forecast rain though, and that’s enough to earn her the nod. Twilight Safari (second choice) merits respect for the in-form Micky Hammond and we mightn’t have seen the best of Si White just yet. [Mark Rowntree]
