Three good runs this season, the latest a second at Chepstow (1m, good to firm) 12 days ago; competes off same mark and will be a tough nut to crack if first-time cheekpieces have any positive effect.

Sole success came in an AW juvenile novice in December 2024; has ran well to be third on both starts this year at Bath and Salisbury; this also represents a class drop and he shouldn't be far away.

Sole success came in a Kempton AW novice in December 2024; has been beaten in eight handicaps since, latest when a place behind Nakaaha when third of six at Bath (1m, firm) last month; no margin for error off this mark but should find a race soon.

Gained this season's win at Lingfield (7f, good), where she was allowed to dominate against the favoured nearside rail; also suited but this C&D but ran poorly on Polytrack ten days ago and would appeal more on slower ground.

Returned to form with second in amateur riders' race at Brighton (1m, good to firm) last month and is still on a good mark but has become far too inconsistent to rely upon, and his habit of starting slowly is another worry.

Did well last year (three wins; one over C&D) but is yet to strike form after three starts this season and slow starts have become a serious issue; goes without usual blinkers today; comes with risk.

Came good in first-time blinkers at Bath (1m, firm) in April, after a break, but managed only third in a small field there (1m2f) in May and was soundly beaten on his latest outing; needs to kick on again.

Blinkers have helped him this spring, seeing off five rivals at Bath (1m, firm) last month and then finishing close up in third back at Bath (1m2f, firm) 19 days ago; returning to a mile can help and Mason Paetel's claim is a useful one.

Travelled well in the new blinkers over 1m here recently (firm) and got the job done by just over a length; has stamina to prove over this longer trip and no guarantees the headgear will work a second time.

Well suited by switchback tracks and took advantage of a handy mark when winning on his C&D comeback in April; found life tougher off his revised mark in better company here last time but this is more his speed back down 2lb.

Consistent 4yo who won over C&D (good) last summer and came from off the pace to double his tally at Brighton (1m, good) last month; probably doesn't have much margin for error off new mark but ought to be on the premises.

Form & Verdict
Lightly raced 3yo who was evidently well suited by the step up in trip when winning readily at Bath (1m, good) last month; found one too good when odds-on to follow up there (firm) last week but was clear of the others and remains of strong interest; swaps blinkers for first-time visor.

Blinkers fitted for both starts in 3yo only handicaps; went down narrowly at Salisbury (7f) then powered home to score readily over C&D; highly likely has more to offer and can defy a 7lb rise taking on mostly older horses.

0-5 on AW; got going too late when never-dangerous fourth from the rear at Lingfield (7f; first-time cheekpieces) last month but that was her first run since January and this longer trip might suit better on her turf debut; blinkers and a tongue-tie are tried this time.

Runner-up, beaten around 5l, in two Wolverhampton fillies' maidens (7f/6f) in November when trained by Owen Burrows; sold for 28,000gns the following month but two lesser runs for new yard since; wears first-time cheekpieces and has something to prove now.

Verdict

There is probably still more to come from SWIPED (nap), who couldn’t reel in the winner at Bath recently but won in good style there two starts ago and, after only six runs, remains lightly raced. Happy Banner (second choice) is in good form and can pose a threat if the addition of cheekpieces has the desired effect, while Ritaal looks quite interesting over this new trip on her turf debut.[Chris Wilson]
