Form & Verdict
Doncaster bumper winner on soft; runner-up on first two starts over hurdles and narrowly went one better in a three-way finish to maiden at Hereford (2m4f, soft) one month ago; looked a stayer in the making on that latest run and his very strong yard won this race last year.

Bumper winner (2m, soft) who was runner-up on his first two hurdle starts before winning at Hereford (2m3f, soft) in December; faded when third over 2m7f at Chepstow latest and needs to prove his stamina, but this handicap newcomer has potential for his top yard; respected in first-time tongue-tie.

Doncaster bumper winner; runner-up on first two starts over hurdles, including on good ground, and went one better in maiden at Hereford (2m3f, soft) in a very tight, three-way finish; sets the standard on hurdles form and he's entered in the 3m Grade 1 novice at Cheltenham Festival.

Form & Verdict
Often front-runner; has plenty of fairly useful form but penultimate start (he had wind surgery not long before) was the only time he showed it in his last four outings; chasing on last three starts, with tongue tied latest; has proved himself in the mud over this sort of trip but has a different question to answer at the moment.

Form & Verdict
Won Irish maiden point last February and impressively in a maiden hurdle at Worcester (2m4f, soft) in October; put in his place when third of 12 at Newbury (2m4f, soft; 18-1) three weeks ago but that was in the Grade 1 Challow and this race should give him a much better chance.

Form & Verdict
Runner-up on first three hurdling starts and best form when winning well in a handicap at Ffos Las (3m, soft) next time; rather disappointing when 6-4 favourite at Hereford (3m2f, soft) last month and needs to resume his improvement, equipped today with headgear first time.

Form & Verdict
Irish maiden point winner last February; second in novice hurdle at Chepstow (2m7f) four weeks before winning a 13-runner maiden at Uttoxeter (3m, soft) three weeks ago; saw off a succession of challengers in the latter and looks a useful prospect.

Stamina to spare at this trip as a winner at up to 3m5f, but hard to place maximum faith in one with three wins and five pulled ups from their last eight starts, and genuinely good ground would ask a new question.

His profile is all or nothing and when winning at Exeter last month (3m, soft) only two others completed; however, he's a relentless galloper and this is his sort of race.

Form & Verdict
Unraced on worse than good to soft; beaten 63l when favourite for a bumper last January on debut; not much better at Newbury (11-1) last April or on hurdling debut at Chepstow (2m3f; 125-1; behind The Big Reveal) at Christmas; from a top yard but the stardust has not yet rubbed off.

Dam sister to bumper and high-class 2m3f-3m1f hurdle/chase winner Time For Rupert; third in an Irish maiden point in October and sold for £105,000 in November; fourth of 15 in maiden at Chepstow (2m3f, good to soft) last month showed promise but he was beaten 21l so this looks a stiff task.

Came good with ready win on seasonal debut at Lingfield (2m7f, good), despite jockey losing irons, and held clear lead before penultimate-fence fall over C&D (soft) last month; has to take a 6lb rise on the chin but still features prominently in calculations.

Came good with ready win on seasonal debut at Lingfield (2m7f, good) despite jockey losing irons on run-in; both subsequent runs were perfectly respectable but he needs to kick on again to land this prize.

Verdict

This is probably between IDALKO BIHOUE, Well Dick and Heezer Geezer who are preferred in that order. The selection stuck to his guns in defeat behind the leading Cheltenham Festival fancy Hermes Allen in a Grade 1 at Newbury and this longer trip can help, but Well Dick proved his stamina at Uttoxeter and can put up a serious fight, while Heezer Geezer brings extra potential with his step up in trip.[Richard Austen]
