0-6 this year but he's been knocking firmly at the door, including in Group 1 events; tends to come from behind and ended up with too much to do when fourth in C&D Group 3 (13-8 favourite) two weeks ago; somewhat unlucky (needed to be switched) when a fine third in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup here in June; may still have potential and dangerous if getting the rub of the green. |

Sole Group win was the 1m6f Queen's Vase here in 2023 but he was third in the 2m Group 1 Goodwood Cup the following season, among other smart performances; long layoff (including wind surgery) before this season in which he's won Listed races at York (1m6f) in June and Newmarket (2m) in September; 4-7 in the latter but scored by 11l pretty much as he pleased, so he's at least as good as ever; sights are raised substantially but he's a major contender. |
