Second in four of her first five starts, including twice on Kempton Polytrack, before easily making all at evens from a 125-1 shot in a novice at Ffos Las (1m4f, heavy) in August; tailed off on handicap debut at Newbury (1m4f, soft) on latest start; wore cheekpieces on last four outings and now it's a visor; needs big overall improvement. |

Six-race maiden; showed some ability at Kempton as 2yo on her only AW outing; hooded on latest three starts, running respectably at 7f/1m on first two occasions but tailed off (headstrong, set up a clear lead) on latest. |

Five-race maiden; not disgraced at Nottingham (1m, good; again wore hood) most recently but eventually weakened having raced too freely; chance depends on whether she settles better. |

No immediate improvement for the switch to handicaps when fourth of eight at Salisbury last month (7f, good; first-time hood); runs off the same mark and a personal best is required. |

Badly hampered here one year ago in her only AW race; eighth attempt, and her first in this third type of headgear, when off the mark from the front in a novice at Nottingham (1m6f, soft) two weeks ago; there was limited improvement in that performance and she needs a great deal more today. |

Well established as a fair maiden, good second at Carlisle (1m3f, soft) in second-time cheekpieces on penultimate start; a lesser show in blinkers one month ago sees her in a visor today; probably placed at best even if straight back to form. |

Fair on the Flat for Ed Walker last year; made inauspicious start to hurdling career in the autumn (failed to complete consecutive races) but his run at Ludlow (2m, good to soft) in February was more encouraging and further progress is possible in handicaps. |

0-8 on Flat, with plenty of fair form (best effort at 1m2f); however, she refused at the third flight on stable/hurdle debut in November and was pulled up before two out when 66-1 at Newbury one month later. |

Some promise in a 7f fillies' maiden at Southwell one year ago (for Karl Burke); absent until a low-key stable debut at Catterick (6f, soft) last month; risky now making her handicap debut. |

Verdict
The Gosden yard won a division of this 12 months ago with subsequent Oaks winner Soul Sister and her stablemate BEELEY gets the nod having gone very close at Nottingham on her debut. Ralph Beckett has a good record in this race and Goodwood third Games People Play may be the chief danger, although the well-bred Alacrity could take a big step forward on this second start.[Ben Hutton]
