Form & Verdict
All nine starts have been over 1m and he's unbeaten, winning Group 1s on the last five occasions (good to soft-good to firm); tackles a new trip on his first visit to York and in Mishriff he faces a much tougher opponent than the ones he's been beating this season; however, brother Hukum is a 1m4f winner at the top level and power-packed finishes also provide optimism that he'll stay the trip, while he's been winning this year without being fully extended and should have plenty more in the tank if he's seriously challenged.

Form & Verdict
Commanding winner of this race last year (good ground) on his sole visit to York and it's likely he'd have won the Eclipse at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm) last month with a clear run; it's a concern he was very slowly away when an 11l third of six in the 1m4f King George at Ascot last time but he's back to his optimum trip here and could pose a big threat to Baaeed if reproducing the same brilliant form he displayed here 12 months ago.

Form & Verdict
Has frequently run well in Group 1 races over 1m/1m1f and snapped a long losing run when narrowly beating Dubai Honour in a Group 2 over C&D (good to firm) last month; unexposed at the trip and may have an even bigger run in him, but there's a firm suspicion he's vulnerable in this top-class field.

Good C&D record includes a win in this last year off 5lb higher; back on form when narrowly denied at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm) and things went wrong from the start (stumbled) when well behind Westridge at Goodwood since; could bounce back.

Has a mixed 1-6 record at Goodwood, with the win in 2019, but he won a 17-runner race at the York Ebor meeting last August and went down by a neck at Sandown this month, both over 1m2f on good to firm but the ground was not an issue previously; now a 9yo but 4lb lower than for that York win; drawn wide but likely to be delivered late anyway.

Resilient 9yo who can still give it plenty in competitive handicaps, as when beating 16 rivals at York (about 1m2f, good to firm; off 5lb higher) last August; however, he has less obvious claims on subsequent handicap runs, including back at York in June.

Form & Verdict
Highly progressive last year, winning two 1m2f Group 2s then runner-up in the 1m2f Group 1 Champion Stakes (all on slow ground); returned from four-month break with a nose second to Sir Busker in a C&D Group 2 (good to firm) last month and there's a good chance he can turn the tables with that run under his belt, but he's likely to find some of the others too strong.

Form & Verdict
Champion 2yo last year and won the Irish 2,000 Guineas (1m, good to yielding) in May; very close third when upped in trip in the Eclipse at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm) last month and can give another good account, but he has work to do to beat Eclipse second Mishriff who was unlucky in running.

Form dipped in the 2022 International when last seen (had wind surgery since); very solid and high-class performer otherwise, and was champion 2yo in 2021; has form figures of 1112 on the Newmarket tracks, most recently second in last year's 2,000 Guineas; subsequently won the Irish version and ran well in the Eclipse; strongly respected.

Form & Verdict
He's the sole Ballydoyle runner and ran his best race when going down by a neck in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh (1m2f, good) in May; however, he's up against it in this hotter Group 1, especially as he hasn't been at the very top of his game the last twice.

Went close in Group 1 on the Flat last May and, despite failing to shine on his final few Flat starts, he beat some talented rivals to win on hurdle debut at Leopardstown (2m, soft) in December; mid-race unseat in the Grade 1 Tattersalls Ireland Novice Hurdle subsequently; has plenty of potential in this code given his peak Flat ability but there is a worry about his jumping; this race is likely to expose any frailties in that department.

6l second to Mishriff in this race last year (good) and beat High Definition by a neck to win his first Group 1 at the Curragh (1m2f, good) in May; fast ground may not have suited when last of six in the Eclipse last month; even if conditions suit, he has something to find in this red-hot Group 1.
