Verdict
Not an obviously strong 0-140, with a topweight rated 12lb below the ceiling. A win for Stuzzikini would surprisingly be a first for the Irish in this race since 2012 (another Gordon Elliott inmate) and he has more bases covered as regards effectiveness over this trip and ground combination than his fellow handicap debutant MONOCHROMIX. Lucinda Russell’s less exposed gelding has likely been waiting for this sort of a trip, however, and is narrowly preferred. [Jeremy Grayson]
