0-17 over hurdles but placed on five of her seven starts this year, most recently when second of 16 at Kilbeggan (3m, good to yielding; refitted cheekpieces) three weeks ago; ought to cope with today's ground and be right in the thick of things again.

Made all to win by 15l over C&D in August, her sole win; was well-held over fences since and has a 9lb higher mark to cope with today but a 7lb claimer helps so has to be considered.

Winner of fifth point start; two chasing runs under rules have seen him tailed off and pulled up; nonetheless, there is encouragement to be found in his recent hurdles form with back-to-back runner-up finishes before a wide margin victory at Sligo last time (3m1f, good); he is a huge player if he can bring that form to fences.

Now 0-23 over hurdles but runner-up the last twice on good ground, clear with winner over 3m1f at Kilbeggan and similarly over 2m7f at Bangor last month in today's headgear combination; should again be thereabouts and yard in much better form now.

Not seen since a disappointing run in May but his clear second at Haydock (3m, good to soft) in April was a good effort and, after only six hurdle starts, he's not yet fully exposed; major player if back on song.

Four wins since joining this stable last spring, the latest in Durham National at Sedgefield (3m5f, good) in October; arguably posted career-best performance when clear second in Lincolnshire National at Market Rasen (3m3f, good to soft) on Boxing Day but went up another 4lb for that and the forecast slower ground here may not be ideal.

Verdict

The Longest Day has won his last two over C&D but the ground might have turned against him today and preference is for TANGO THEATRE, who has posted some very creditable performances in defeat this year and certainly deserves to get a win on the board. Second choice is Imperial B G, who has a significant role to play if able to match the form he showed two starts ago.[Chris Wilson]
