Has been threatening to get off the mark since the autumn and things have fallen right for her of late, following a 6f win at Leicester (good to firm) with an impressive one on Lingfield AW (7f); strong traveller who shouldn't mind the return to 6f; still has potential.

Form & Verdict
Five-time winner having a consistent season but her handicap mark hasn't really gone anywhere despite several placed efforts over 5f in lower-grade races than this; has won over this far but the chances are she'll come up short once again.

She's been running well in the main this season and has finished second at Ayr (5f, good/good to firm) on her two starts this month; she's won over C&D and there's every chance that she'll be bang there.

Three of her four wins last season (5f/6f) were on fast ground, so conditions suit here; creditable second over C&D last week (good); a leading chance.

Verdict

Zen Diva will no doubt prove popular given her connections, though it's a slight concern from stall 17 that the early pace could emerge from those drawn low to middle. Another unexposed 3yo is GOLD DIGGER who was noticeably short in the betting for her handicap debut at Royal Ascot and she's probably better than that ninth position in a field of 27. Again she wandered for pressure when highly tried in a Group race last time, so the emergence of headgear could be significant. Machadadorp (second choice) tries her hand at sprinting for the first time and she looks sharp enough to cope, while Bintaryana, Sing The Blues, Secret History and Stormy Impact also enter the reckoning.[Alistair Jones]
