Verdict
Firth Of Clyde had some solid 2yo form and is the one to beat if returning from almost a year off at the top of his game, but the vote goes to the well-bred MELFET who has plenty of potential and is taken to build on the promise of last winter’s debut. Third on the list, also returning from a layoff, is the unbeaten Nobel, with Regal Rambler and Wessall also considered.[Richard O’Brien]
