Middle-distance pedigree and the extra furlong should suit but she started a big price and offered little on her 6f debut early last month.

Form & Verdict
From a middle-distance family the Gosdens know well, and she made a promising start when third of nine at Newmarket (7f, soft; 16-1; wore hood) two weeks ago, keeping on well after being short of room; today's extra yardage should be in her favour and she's the one to beat.

Made her debut here three weeks ago (7f, good; 33-1) and she shaped quite well, doing her best work late on and finishing fifth of the 13 runners; mixed messages from pedigree about stamina for today's longer trip but she ought to improve.

Verdict

The three well-bred debutantes need a market check but FORTIS REGINA is the clear pick of those with experience. She handled soft ground with aplomb on her debut at Newmarket and should have little difficulty staying today’s extra furlong. Therapist’s second at Lingfield is the next best piece of form, although fourth-placed Mildyjama is stoutly bred and could turn the tables under these testing conditions.[Richard O’Brien]
