Out of form in December when last seen over hurdles but looked back in good nick when winning on AW in February and is 5lb lower than when scoring over C&D (good to soft) in March 2025; interesting. |

Steps back up in grade but looks shortlist material, having registered a C&D win under Millie Wonnacott most recently, taking well to Southwell at the first attempt and taking AW record to 2-7. |

Flat/hurdle winner who left Dan Skelton for 4,400gns; finished a clear second at Hexham (1m7f, good to soft; effective on good) on stable/chase debut and the revitalised winner has struck again since; gets in here off the same mark. |

Flat/hurdle winner who was bought out of Dan Skelton's yard for 4,400gns last month; had been in fair form over hurdles, but perhaps best watched on chase/stable debut. |

Maiden; has been placed on a few occasions pointing (also run out twice) but hasn't shown much in his two runs in hunter chases; not an obvious candidate. |

Maiden pointer who was pulled up in 2024 edition of this race on only previous rules start; ran well in two 2m4f maiden points last month (albeit ran out at final fence on first occasion) but others look stronger. |

Won over C&D off this mark in March last year (good to soft); plenty of decent efforts since, including when third at Kelso last time (2m5f, good); each-way chance. |

A case can be made on form as recent as November but she failed to shine on her two starts in February and needs to raise her game. |

Maiden Irish pointer who was well beaten in three Cartmel novice hurdles (2m1f-2m6f) this summer; still very unexposed under rules but needs major improvement on this handicap debut; 2lb wrong; tongue-tie added. |

6/1 Chicago Storm, 11/8 Ghasham, 11/4 Bentley Road, 4/1 Divas Doyen, 16/1 Mr Globalist, 33/1 Cross Of Redmoor
Verdict
All three of Chicago Storm, Divas Doyen and GHASHAM (nap) have stamina to spare at the trip, and none appear handicapped out of winning at present either. The last-named’s C&D second early in May has already received one form boost, and today’s certainly appears no harder a contest. With chasing stats of 2-26 versus her rivals’ collective 0-7, Divas Doyen has the experience to capitalise should the selection fall short. [Jeremy Grayson]
